Amir Kamrani
Director/Producer
Amir Kamrani is the founder and director of Huma Media. Amir graduated from the Academy of Film, Theatre and TV (AFTT) in Screen and Media. Amir has worked with some of the most renowned national and international Television Networks such as the ABC, SBS, Channel 7, BBC, New York Times, FOX TV, Netflix and more. He has produced and directed many projects.
Zabi Malik
Co-Founder
Zabi Malik is the co-founder and director of Huma Media. Zabi graduated with a Diploma of Screen and Media (Acting) from New York Film Academy and has since worked on many creative projects. Zabi received the UNHCR 2023 scholarship to study bachelor of Arts Screen Production at Australian Film Television & Radio School also known as AFTRS.
Zohal Azra
Co-Founder/ Lawyer
Zohal is a Sydney based lawyer, and the co-founder and producer at Huma Media. Zohal has a double in Bachelor of Law and Arts (History and Political Thoughts) from Western Sydney University, and has completed her postgraduate legal studies at Australian National University (ANU). Zohal is a passionate human rights advocate and strives to give the people in her community a voice through media.
Reza Nasiri
Presenter/Writer
Reza Naseri has completed a Bachelor of International Studies and Social Sciences at Western Sydney University. He is a passionate community worker and is involved in many non-for-profit organisations. Reza is one of our lead hosts, script writer and researcher at Huma Media.
Selena Choo
Company Secretary
Selena has been a lawyer, investigator, entrepreneur, Company Secretary and volunteer. Through her not-for-profit organisation, Humans Like Us, she builds the capacity and confidence of employers to support refugees in their working life and
build a new future in Australia. Selena previously worked at the Migration Council of Australia and the NSW Ombudsman. She has over 20 years’ experience as a public sector investigator and researcher, with expertise in improving the way government
functions in practice. Selena has authored and edited 18 public reports.
Farzana Farzana
Public Officer
Farzana, Northern Region Program Manager at Community Migrant Resource Centre, NSW Women of the Year Community Hero finalist dedicates herself to improving settlement, education and employment outcomes for culturally diverse communities in NSW. Being a former Hazara refugee from Afghanistan, born in Pakistan, her firsthand experience helps her support newcomers facing the complexities of resettlement. Farzana holds a Bachelor of Statistics and Economics – BES and a Bachelor of Education from Pakistan, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Western Sydney University.
