Chai Khana, which translates to ‘Tea House’ is our headline show.

Tea is central to Afghanistani culture. It symbolises harmony, peace, and hospitality. People in Afghanistan form relationships and trust by sharing tea together: we gather in Tea Houses to share ideas, discuss news, and debate important issues affecting the community in a safe and respectful environment.

Chai Khana has exactly the same purpose. This show’s content opens dialogue about important issues affecting our community in an accessible and conversational way. We bring well known members of our community to discuss a range of topics from mental health and wellbeing to domestic violence, migrants, business, education and more.
